The desert is often described as empty, but it is full of ups and downs that are constantly in motion. 
Part of this sand-sea rolls through the south of Tunisia, partly very gently, partly noisily, partly to the sounds of Arabic music. 
Immerse yourself in the world of Bedouins and dromedaries, scorpions and desert birds and experience one week of Sahara off-road feeling with us.

DAY 1 – get ready

  • Reception at the airport in Djerba.
  • Drive to luxury hotel with beach access.
  • Instruction of the vehicles.
  • Notes on country-specific customs.
  • Acclimatize and enjoy the beach.
  • Dinner together and getting to know the participants.
  • Outlook for the next few days.

Sand experience

DAY 2 – oasis

  • After breakfast togehter, we start at 10:00 a.m.
  • Leaving to the mainland and then into sand.
  • Refueling stop at Tatouine
  • Lunch break at Chenini
  • Relaxing in the natural pool of the oasis Ksar Rhilane
  • Sleeping in a luxury tent with aircondition

DAY 3 – Exercise

  • Get familiar with driving in sand.
  • First experiences in the sand.
  • Who will be the first one who gets stuck?
  • Teamwork is required, to pull out.
  • Get tips & tricks from your experienced instructor
  • Visit fort Tisavar
  • You fall in love with the desert, dunes and sand.

DAY 4 – NATURE

  • Since you are now experienced, we drive to mesa Mida.
  • Enjoy the landscape.
  • Experience total silence, in case there is no wind.
  • You can wonder, how the heck sand is all over in your car, alltough you had the windwos closed all the time.
  • We stay for one night in a tent camp close to Timbaine.
  • Sunset is gorgios…

BaCK to civilization.

DAY 5 – DIFFERENT

  • On the way back to civilization, you have to stop at “Achmet’s Café”.
  • More and more vehicles on the road.
  • Don’t forget to refuel your  tank.
  • Enjoy the village of Douz with it’s culture.
  • Bargain for a good souvenir deal.
  • Relaxe in the hotel pool and enjoy luxury again.

DAY 6 – SAND

  • “Surf” the dunes in your 4-wheel car.
  • Experience hard and soft sand..
  • Observe different colours and shapes of the dunes.
  • Stop at “sphere fountain”
  • Pass oasis Ksar Ghilliane again
  • Destination is Hotel “Diar” in Matmata

DAY 7 – scenic tour

  • Several mountain passes with great view
  • Final dinner together on Djerba.
  • Now you are able to tell many stories from 1001 nights
  • Have a good rest before getting back to the airport the next morning, or whenever you booked your flight.
